How the calculation works
- Floor area is the sum of your rooms (length × width), converted to m² and sq ft.
- We add a wastage allowance for cutting: 7% for straight planks, 12% diagonal, 18% herringbone (range 15–20%), 15% chevron, plus 2% for rooms under 60 sq ft.
- Boxes are rounded up to whole boxes; herringbone A and B planks are ordered in equal numbers.
- Skirting is your room perimeter minus 0.9 m per doorway, plus 5% for cuts, in 2.4 m lengths.
- Where a product has a published price, we show the material cost range excluding and including GST. Installation is quoted separately.
