Our installation standard
- Acclimatise boxes flat in the room for 48 hours (wood: as specified).
- Subfloor: dry, clean and flat within 3 mm over 2 m; loose or hollow tiles fixed first.
- Moisture barrier where the slab is on the ground or recently cast.
- Expansion gaps of 8–10 mm at walls and fixed objects, hidden by skirting; profiles at doorways and long runs.
- Wet areas: SPC/LVT click floors are not a substitute for waterproofing; bathrooms need glue-down vinyl with a sealed perimeter.
Over existing tiles
Rigid-core SPC and laminate can usually be laid over sound vitrified tiles with narrow grout lines — no demolition, little dust. We confirm it at the measurement visit.
