Care & maintenance

Simple routines that keep each type of floor looking right for years.

Illustrative render

SPC, LVT and vinyl

  • Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor head), then mop with a well-wrung mop and a pH-neutral cleaner.
  • Wipe standing water; do not flood the floor.
  • Felt pads under furniture; no rubber-backed mats; use blinds for strong afternoon sun.

Laminate

  • Dry or barely damp mop only; wipe spills promptly.
  • Keep expansion gaps and profiles free — do not fix heavy cabinets through the floor.

Engineered and solid wood

  • Dry mop; damp-mop occasionally with a wood-floor cleaner.
  • Keep indoor humidity steady (roughly 40–60%) — air-conditioning helps in the monsoon.
  • Re-oil or re-lacquer as the finish wears; engineered floors with a 3 mm top layer can usually be re-sanded.

WPC decking

  • Sweep and wash with water; mild soap for marks.
  • Keep the drainage and expansion gaps clear.
