Choosing a floor
Which floor is best for an Indian home?
For most rooms — including kitchens and ground floors in humid cities — rigid-core SPC is the practical choice: its stone-polymer core has no wood fibre, it clicks together without adhesive and it can usually go over sound, flat vitrified tiles. Choose engineered or solid wood when you want real timber in dry, climate-steady rooms, and laminate for dry rooms on a tighter budget. Our type comparison sets the options side by side.
What is the difference between waterproof and water-resistant?
A waterproof core (SPC, LVT, WPC) does not swell when wet. The joints between planks are still joints, so standing water should be wiped up and wet rooms need a sealed perimeter. A water-resistant laminate has a treated surface and edges that tolerate spills for a tested number of hours. We show a water rating on a product only when we publish the test report behind it.
Will termites damage the floor?
SPC and vinyl have no wood fibre in the core, so there is nothing for termites to feed on — a property of the material, not a guarantee for the rest of your home. Laminate and wood floors are wood-based: we recommend anti-termite treatment of the slab before installation.
What does AC rating mean?
AC3, AC4 and AC5 are abrasion classes for laminate under EN 13329 (AC5 is the highest). They do not apply to SPC or vinyl, which use wear-layer thickness and ISO 10874 use classes instead. We show an AC class only with the test report.
Samples, price & ordering
Are samples free?
Yes. You can order up to 5 free plank-cut samples per order (2 orders per mobile number every 30 days). We aim to dispatch within 48 hours and share tracking on WhatsApp or email.
How are prices shown?
Where a price is published it is per sq ft excluding GST, with the GST-inclusive figure next to it (18% GST on these flooring types). Installation is always a separate line. Products marked “Price on request” are quoted after we know your area and city.
How much extra should I order?
It depends on the laying pattern: about 7% for straight planks, 12% for diagonal, 15–20% for herringbone and around 15% for chevron, plus a little more for small rooms with many cuts. Our calculator rounds up to full boxes for you.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes, we plan pan-India delivery by road freight; the cost depends on your PIN code and order size and is shown on your quote.
Installation & measurement
Can SPC go over my existing tiles?
Usually, yes — if the tiles are firmly bonded (no hollow sound), flat within about 3 mm over 2 m and the grout lines are narrow. Doors may need trimming. Our measurement visit checks this for you.
What happens at a site measurement?
We measure each room, check subfloor moisture and flatness, tap-test existing tiles for hollowness, check door clearances and take photos. You then receive a measured quote that splits material, installation and GST.
Who installs the floor?
We are onboarding trained installation partners city by city. Where we have none yet, we can brief your own contractor with our installation guide. Installation is always quoted separately from material.
Warranty & care
How do I register my warranty?
Use the warranty registration form with your invoice number, purchase date, product and installed area. You receive a reference number and a printable acknowledgement straight away.
How long is the warranty?
Warranty years depend on the product and its wear layer. We publish them on each product page together with the warranty terms document; until that document is published the page says “on request”.
How do I clean an SPC or vinyl floor?
Sweep or vacuum, then mop with a well-wrung mop and a pH-neutral cleaner. Wipe standing water, use felt pads under furniture and avoid rubber-backed mats. See the care guide.
